Hi, All! Well, this prompt is a pretty easy one for us. We really only have one grocery store tip to share – visit your local vegan grocery! Here in Seattle, we are so fortunate to have access to Vegan Haven, a volunteer-run, non-profit, all-vegan grocery store. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be in a store knowing that you don’t have to check every label for animal products.
In addition, all of the proceeds from their sales go to benefit Pigs Peace, a beautiful sanctuary located about an hour north of here. We had the pleasure of visiting Pigs Peace a few years ago, and we can attest that the money is going to a good cause!
Every aisle is a world of treasures. From staples like canned goods to treats like ice cream and chocolate to cruelty-free beauty products to vegan cookbooks, Vegan Haven has a little for everyone.
By the way, soup week continues tonight. Using some of our spoils from Vegan Haven, we made a lentil, sausage, and kale soup. It was one of those rare meals where the whole was much greater than the sum of its parts. It was so good!
We love Vegan Haven, and we love good food. See you all tomorrow!
